The GROVE HOA board received inquiries about whether the residents will be allowed to have a limited number of chickens in their backyards. We are aware this is an issue that elicits passion and opinions on both sides. It is an issue that would impact all the residents and requires the board to give it adequate and thoughtful consideration before deciding whether chickens will be allowed.
The HOA was turned over to the residents and a volunteer board appointed just two weeks ago. There is a significant amount of work that needs to be transitioned, processes to put in place and concerns that need our immediate attention. Therefore, for the near future, the HOA will be working on this transition for the benefit of all homeowners. We will not be considering the issue of chickens until late fall at the earliest. Once we have the HOA transitioned, we will provide notice to all residents to gather resident input and to notify them of the process for making this decision. So, we ask that you please hold your request until that time.
Thank you for your patience and support. We will keep you posted.
